And here we are with a more formal update for the month of May.

It's the start of what most feel is the summer seasonand the way the weather has been I can agree this year.So far it's nice summer temps, without the summer humidity.

Anyway enough about that, now on to the serious stuff.
First up is Tales From the Starlight Drive in.Yes it's finally coming out.I got some great news from Mike SanGiacomo and it looks like we will have some at Wizard World Philly.

Speaking of which I will be at the Philly Wizard World show May 30th,31st,and June 1st with Mike, and if all goes well James and Chris from Imperium Comics with copies of Trailer Park of Terror. If your store doesn't carry either Trailer Park or Drive In,let them know that you want them to.TPoT is available for re order through Diamond and Drive in looks to be as well. Also be sure to mention that TPoT is coming out s a movie and it would be a great tie in.

Next up is I've been giving alot of thought to the fact that I'm coming up on 20,000 page views and I would like to do something special for it.With that I come to you to ask what would you like to see? This will be something I will pencil and ink myself as a thank you to you all.So let's hear some suggestions.

Next up The Inkwell Awards are going into the home stretch and if you haven't voted yet head over and do so.Voting is open until May 30th.Check out the quicky update from earlier and follow the links.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for all the favs and comments they are appreciated.
Until next month I'll see you in the funny books.

It's a good thing I didn't become a rock

I don't think I could have done a show night after night when doing a comic con once a week is knocking the crap out of me.

First up was the New York Comic Con,of which it was crazy. If you've never been to it you owe it to yourself to get there at least once in your life. It's quickly becoming the SanDiego of the east coast.

Between the walking the convention floor and around the city to get some dinner I was whipped out.I had a great time thouhg hanging with Chris March ,and James Dracoules of Imperium Comics pimping the hell out of the book Trailer Park of Terror,as well as the upcoming movie.

If that wasn't enough this past weekend was the Pittsburgh Comic Con,and time for another road trip.
Starting out at 3:30 on Friday night I headed westward into a huge thunder storm about 2 hours in to it,which if you've never driven though Pennsylvania it's not a fun time.Thankfully I was heading in the opposite direction and it was a fast moving storm.I finally made it to the hotel around 10,and started the fun all over agian that was the New York show meeting up with people I knew and didn't.

The show itself was great as well. This time out it was just me pimping Trailer Park, but it's fun as hell.I met up with my room mate Neil Vokes and headed to the bar for a few drinks. After a much needed night of sleep it was time to put on the retail face. This was the first time doing Pitts, and it won't be my last. The people were great and they really took care of all of us,and the fans were even better. On Sat night they hold an auction for the Make a Wish foundation and the raised almost 19,000 dollars.

Sunday started out slow due to a few drinks the night before, but about an hour into it and i was back on top of my game and had another great day,and after dinner with a few friends it was time to hit the road home.thankfully no stroms this time around and I roled in around 10:30.

Now it's time for more sleep.
Thanks for everyone who stopped by both shows for your support and look for us at Wizard World Philly at the end of May.With all luck I'll have Phantom Jack with me,as well as the long awaited Tales of the Starlight Drive In,and Trailer Park of Terror. If you're coming out stop by and say hello.

Until next time I'll see you in the funny books.

April '08 update

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 9, 2008, 10:22 AM
Well it's finally spring, but you'd never think we even had a winter.
That being said that means it's time for another update.

With spring comes a time to get out and see the world, and that's what I'm doing April 17th-20th with a trip to the New York Comic Con.
I'll be there with Chris March, and James Dracoules of Imperium Comics pimping Trailer Park of Terror.
If you're heading out there stop by and say hi and pick up a few copies.Along with that there will probably be word about the movie, which is getting it's fair share a good press.

After that I'll be heading west to Pittsburg with the guys to the Pitts. Comic Con,so if you missed us at NY there your second chance.

Next item is the release of Phantom Jack:The Nowhere Man Agenda from Atomic Pop Art if it's not in stores now keep your eyes open it should be any day now. This is the tale of reporter Jack Baxter and his great foe.Trust me when I say this you don't want to miss out on it.

Item the 3rd is finally Tales of the Starlight Drive In will be hitting the shelves this summer from Image Comics. You can order it through previews APR08 2165.Both myself and writer Mike SanGiacomo will be supporting this with local signings,as well as convention appearances.More info as plans are finalized.

In other news The voting for the Inkwell awards is in full swing now and you should take some time and head over and cast your vote.

Well that's about it for this month. For those of you looking for new inks don't worry they are on the way so keep an eye open.

As always thanks for all the support and favs and comments.I may not respond to them all but they are much appreciated.

Until next month I'll see you in the funny books.
